Jacob Miller

Jacob Miller is a software engineer at Waymo since June 2022, following an internship in behavior planning with the same company in 2021. Previously, Jacob worked as a graduate teaching assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, contributing to a course on systems engineering and project management. Jacob has a substantial background in autonomous vehicle technology, having served as an AV motion planning and control systems engineer at VSI Labs, where skills included developing motion planning algorithms and conducting research in computer vision. Additional experience includes positions at the University of Minnesota as a research fellow and assistant, focusing on camera interface software and hyperdimensional computing. Jacob began their career as an IT intern at Fluid Interiors, gaining foundational skills in technology support and systems management. Jacob holds a Master of Science in Robotic Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
