Meng Wang

Meng Wang is a seasoned software engineer currently at Waymo, focusing on enhancing perception machine learning models for autonomous driving through large-scale data mining. Previous experience includes research internships at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc., where the focus was on multimodal machine learning and prosocial behavior in drivers, and at AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, concentrating on time series modeling and panoptic segmentation in crash analysis. Meng also worked as a machine learning engineer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, applying machine learning and human-centered AI to analyze driver states, and as a data scientist at AdaViv, specializing in computer vision and AWS data pipelines. Meng holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
