Michael Head

Michael Head is a highly experienced professional in engineering operations and program management with a strong background in technology and military service. Currently serving as a Senior Program Manager at Waymo since April 2019, Michael oversees technical workflows and tooling integrations for software quality in autonomous vehicle safety evaluations. Prior to this role, Michael led a large team to assess safety issues in driving simulations. Experience at Applied Materials included managing field service engineers in semiconductor manufacturing, while previous service in the US Navy involved leading projects and personnel as a submarine officer and technical program manager. Michael holds an MBA from the University of Utah and a BS in Information Technology from the United States Naval Academy, along with qualifications in nuclear engineering.
