Prashant Arunapuram

Prashant Arunapuram is a highly skilled software engineer currently employed at Waymo since December 2024, with a rich background in autonomous driving and computer vision. Previously, Prashant served as a Senior Software Engineer at Lucid Motors, leading the development of innovative models for occlusion detection and pedestrian detection, alongside managing cross-functional teams. Prashant has also contributed significantly to RE2 Robotics, where leadership in the development of computer vision algorithms for mobile robot arm systems was demonstrated. Educational credentials include a Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from Carnegie Mellon University.
