Ryan Powell

Ryan Powell serves as the Director and Head of User Experience at Waymo, where leadership is provided to a team focused on scaling autonomous ride-hailing and trucking services. With extensive experience in user experience design, Ryan previously held significant roles at Google, Samsung Electronics, Xbox, Motorola, and HSBC, managing teams and delivering innovative design solutions across various platforms. Notably, Ryan contributed to mobile payment products at Google and established a design center of excellence at Samsung. An educator as well, Ryan has taught graduate-level UX design courses at IIT Institute of Design. Educational qualifications include a Master of Design in Product Design from the Institute of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Product Marketing from The Ohio State University.
