Shichen Lu is a Software Engineer at Waymo, specializing in the Routing Team since November 2022. Currently also a Masters Student at Dynamic Systems Lab under Professor Angela Schoellig, focusing on vehicle motion prediction through a thesis on pregenerated motion primitives. Previous experience includes leading the motion planning and vehicle interface subteams at aUToronto, which won the SAE Autodrive Challenge, and serving as a research assistant in various labs at the University of Toronto. Shichen's industry experience includes an internship at Intel Corporation, where a proprietary IDE for coding and debugging on embedded processors was developed, as well as research on FPGA image sensor synchronization. Shichen holds a Master's degree in Robotics/AI and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science with a major in Robotics from the University of Toronto.
