Simon Nolet

Simon Nolet is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and robotics. Currently serving as a Laser Testing Systems Engineer at Waymo since August 2020, Simon previously held significant roles, including Flight Testing Systems Engineer at Makani, where leadership of the Ground Station Team contributed to successful deployments across various locations. At GE Aviation, Simon led the design of robotic machines for composite layup and prototyping tools to enhance efficiency. Simon's career began at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Navigation Engineer, responsible for critical tests related to Mars exploration technologies. An academic background includes a Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, respectively. Additionally, Simon participated in the SSP Summer Program focused on Space Policy and Law at the International Space University.
