Su Wang

Su Wang is a data science professional with extensive experience in commercialization and strategic pricing. Currently at Waymo since January 2025, Su Wang previously served as Director of Data Science & Engineering at Lyft from February 2017 to January 2025, where leadership encompassed product strategy across multiple service modes, dynamic pricing, and rider engagement initiatives. Su Wang also held a Data Science Manager position, focusing on machine learning and optimization to enhance operational efficiency within two-sided markets, achieving significant increases in driver earnings and company profits. Earlier, Su Wang contributed as a Research Scientist specializing in causal inference and forecasting. An internship at the International Monetary Fund involved research on corporate network structures and systemic risk in banking. Su Wang obtained a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds advanced degrees in Quantitative Economics and Finance, as well as Mathematics, from École Polytechnique.
