Tirth Pandya

Tirth Pandya is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and behavior prediction for autonomous vehicles. At Waymo since August 2020, Tirth focuses on planner-prediction interactions and has led efforts in behavior modeling for cyclists, motorcyclists, and fast-moving pedestrians. Prior to Waymo, Tirth worked at Lyft's Level5 division from November 2017 to July 2020 on deep learning for pedestrian and cyclist behavior prediction. Tirth also held positions at Microsoft, where contributions included anomaly detection using deep learning and statistical methods, and Intel Corporation, leading projects on touchless gesture recognition. Tirth began a career in software engineering at Tata Consultancy Services, engaging in enterprise software development. Tirth holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Dharmsinh Desai University.
