Senior Hardware Test Development Engineer

Tom (Pohan) Lin is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware testing and system design. Currently serving as a Senior Hardware Test Development Engineer at Waymo since October 2020, Tom is responsible for creating innovative testers and test equipment for autonomous vehicle hardware modules. Prior to Waymo, Tom held the position of Hardware System Design Validation Lead at Google, where Tom launched the successful Google Chromecast and led validation efforts for Google Nest products. Tom's background includes serving as Hardware System EE R&D Lead at ASUS, contributing to the development of Zenphone and ROG gaming phone series, and early career roles at Qualcomm and HP, focusing on software engineering and electrical engineering, respectively. Tom holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, along with education from Stanford University.
