Yingwei Li

Yingwei Li is a Senior Research Scientist at Waymo, with a focus on perception foundation models, after serving as a Research Scientist on offboard perception models. Previous experience includes roles at Google as a Student Researcher and Research Intern, concentrating on multi-modality fusion for 3D object detection. Yingwei's academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, supplemented by an exchange program at National Taiwan University. Earlier internships include positions at Waymo, ByteDance, and TuSimple, where Yingwei worked on camera recognition, depth estimation, and neural architecture search for lightweight models, among other projects.
