Dean Rademaker has been serving as a Sergeant with the Harbormaster Unit at the Detroit Police Department since May 1993. In addition to this role, Dean Rademaker has been a Special Deputy with the Wayne County Sheriff Office since November 2015, participating in a joint task force that enforces maritime laws on the Detroit River. Dean Rademaker holds a degree from Wayne State University, having attended from 1986 to 1991, and is an alumnus of Notre Dame High School.
