Joe Alcala has extensive experience in both the manufacturing and law enforcement sectors. Currently serving as a Crew Leader at US Steel since May 1990, Joe Alcala focuses on safety and the implementation of effective work practices. Prior roles included functioning as a Roll Grinder/Lathe Turner, progressing from material handler to an A-class roll grinder and lathe operator. In addition to manufacturing, Joe Alcala has been a Reserve Police Officer with the Wayne County Sheriff Office since August 1996, achieving the rank of commander in Bravo Co., which consists of approximately 18 officers. Joe Alcala holds a Certificate as a Reserve Police Officer from Schoolcraft College and attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 1984 to 1986.
