Robert Maynard

Robert Maynard, MD, FACC, serves as a Partner and Cardiologist at Consultants in Cardiology since 2007, providing evidence-based management for various cardiovascular conditions and fostering patient engagement through shared decision-making. In addition to this role, Robert has held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University since 2011, instructing medical students in cardiology. Robert is actively involved in cardiovascular research as the Primary Investigator for notable studies such as CANTOS, focusing on cardiovascular risk reduction, and ACCELERATE, evaluating evacetrapib for high-risk atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Prior military experience includes serving as a Major and Field Surgeon in the US Army, with notable deployments during Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University, a Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University, and training in Internal Medicine from Northwestern University.
