Alex Long currently serves as a Community Engagement Educator at Wayside Chapel, focusing on delivering creative educational experiences and building relationships with diverse stakeholders. Previously, Alex was the Education and Development Coordinator for The Wingspan Project, facilitating life-skills education and support for marginalized youth. As Chief Executive Officer of Multicultural Youth Affairs Network (MYAN) NSW from 2015 to 2021, Alex led initiatives to empower multicultural youth in Australia. Additional experience includes roles as Youth Engagement Officer at Straight Talk Foundation, Western Sydney Project Coordinator at Youth Action NSW, and Youth Intern & Education Consultant at Amnesty International Australia. Alex began a teaching career as Teacher-in-Charge of Languages at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College and as an EALD/English Teacher at Doonside Technology High School. Alex holds a Bachelor of Education in Languages from the University of Sydney.
