Alan Power

Alan Power has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Alan'smost recent role was as an Associate Director - Investment Management Oversight at Waystone, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant - Investment Management Oversight at KB Associates from July 2021 to November 2022. From 2016 to 2021, Alan served as the Manager - Proprietary Investment at National Bank of Fujairah, where they were responsible for managing the bank's proprietary investments and global fund of funds. Before that, they held positions at AIB, Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Limited, and Allied Irish Bank (GB) in various roles related to credit analysis and relationship management.

Alan Power has a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from University College Dublin, which they obtained in 2018. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they also hold a Professional Diploma in SME Credit in Credit Risk Management from University College Dublin, which they completed in 2015. Alan also has a Higher Diploma in Financial Services in Credit Management from University College Dublin, completed in 2012. Furthermore, they hold a Professional Diploma in Financial Advice (QFA) in Finance and Financial Management Services from IOB, obtained in 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Alan has obtained several accreditations from different institutions. These include the UAE Securities & Commodities Authority from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) in 2019, Accredited Product Advisor - Pensions from The Institute of Banking in May 2015, Qualified Financial Advisor from The Institute of Banking in 2015, Accredited Product Advisor - Investments from The Institute of Banking in May 2012, Accredited Product Advisor - Life Assurance from The Institute of Banking in January 2012, and Accredited Product Advisor - Loans from The Institute of Banking in September 2011. Currently, Alan is preparing for their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I Exam with the CFA Institute.
