Sarah Gates

Sarah Gates is the current Head of Public Policy at Wayve. Sarah was previously an Associate Director at Teneo, where they provided strategy and policy advisory services for science and technology clients. Prior to that, they were Managing Principal, Consulting at Capita, where they focused on government digital transformation and data strategy. Sarah began their career as a Senior Policy Advisor in the UK Civil Service, where they held various data, science and technology policy roles. Sarah holds a Doctoral degree from Imperial College London.

Sarah Gates has a background in applied data analytics for public policy from New York University, a PhD in organometallic catalysis from Imperial College London, and is currently an MIT-Imperial Global Interdisciplinary Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sarah also has a MSci in Chemistry from Imperial College London and is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and CIPP/M.
