Soham Phade

Soham Phade is currently an Applied Scientist at Wayve, starting in August 2023. Prior to this role, Soham served as a Research Scientist on the AI Economist team at Salesforce from September 2021 to October 2023, focusing on the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Economics by developing simulation environments in PyTorch for deep reinforcement learning applications. Soham completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley between August 2015 and August 2021, during which time also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher under Prof. Venkat Anantharam in the BLISS lab. Additionally, Soham has experience as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, where a tree-based machine learning algorithm was implemented for session-aware search recommendations, and as a Research Fellow at the University of Southern California. Soham holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, obtained between 2011 and 2015.
