Lori Everitt has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Lori currently works as a Cybersecurity Analyst at Whitney, Bradley & Brown (WBB) since May 2019. Prior to that, they were a Program Manager in the EW/Cyberspace division at Alion Science and Technology from August 2015 to May 2019.
Before their roles in the private sector, Lori had an extensive career in the United States Air Force. Lori held various positions and achieved significant accomplishments during their time there. Lori served as the Deputy Chief of the Future Concepts Division and executed the Air Force Chief of Staff's future military war game. Lori oversaw a team of 237 players, including senior leaders from the UK, Australia, and Canada. Lori also played a key role in delivering 16 futuristic weapons and advocating for the use of allied concepts, which informed the new Air Force Strategy.
In addition, Lori served as the Director of Staff at the 451st Air Expeditionary Wing in Kandahar, Afghanistan, from October 2012 to January 2013. Lori directed 13 staff agencies and ensured the safety and mission success of 40 US personnel in combat operations. During this time, they collaborated with NATO troops from the United Kingdom, Australia, and Belgium.
Before their deployment to Afghanistan, Lori held various leadership positions in the Air Force, including Chief of Cyber Research, Chief of Operations Branch in the Optics Division, and Director of Operations.
Lori began their career in the Air Force as an Assistant Professor of Physics and Department Executive Officer from 1997 to 2001. Lori also served as an Air Mobility Threat Analyst/Program Manager from 1993 to 1996.
Prior to joining the Air Force, Lori gained valuable customer service and logistics skills as an Associate at TJ Maxx from June 1987 to May 1989.
Lori Everitt has a strong educational background in the field of military and applied physics. Lori obtained a Master's Degree in Military Strategic Intelligence from the National Defense University in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Applied Physics (Lasers) at the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology from 1996 to 1997. Lori also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Space Physics from the United States Air Force Academy, which they completed from 1989 to 1993.
In addition to their academic achievements, Lori has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Lori became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in June 2018, certified by the (ISC)2. Lori also obtained a Project Manager Professional Certification in March 2017 from the Project Management Institute. Furthermore, Lori has obtained a Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering (SPRDE) Level III certification from Defense Acquisition University.
