Senior Acquisition Program Manager at WBB

Robert Hobart has extensive work experience, starting in 1972 as an Engineer at Southern Bell. Robert then worked as a System Engineer at the US Department of Defense from 1973 to 1988. Hobart served as a Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) from 1989 to 1997, leading the Fixed Distributed System (FDS) program. Robert served as the Systems Engineering Division Head at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from 1997 to 2001, leading the Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP) System Engineering (SE) Task Force. Hobart then became the Deputy Commander, C4I at Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) from 2001 to 2006, where they led the development of C4I systems. From 2006 to 2011, they served as the Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Business Development Manager at Northrop Grumman Information Systems. Hobart later worked as a Consultant at CALNET from 2011 to 2012, providing consultative services for DoD 5000 and information assurance (IA) acquisition policies. Robert then became an Acquisition Management Executive at Guidon Group Corporation from 2012 to 2019, providing professional advisory services for executive program management functions for DHS acquisitions. Currently, Hobart works as a Senior Acquisition Program Manager at Whitney, Bradley & Brown (WBB), where they provide acquisition strategy development and program management for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program in the DoD.

Robert Hobart began their education by attending Georgia Institute of Technology from 1968 to 1972, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Robert then pursued further education at Virginia Tech from 1973 to 1977, earning a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering.

In 1988, Robert Hobart enrolled in a Program Management Course at Defense Acquisition University, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from this institution. In 1992, they attended the Federal Executive Institute for the Leadership for Democratic Society Program, again without receiving a degree.

Additionally, Robert Hobart has obtained two certifications: DAWIA level III for SPRDE in 1991 from the Department of Defense, and DAWIA level III for PM in 1989 from the Defense Department.
