Richard Samans

Richard Samans is a Senior Economic Adviser at WBCSD, a Senior Fellow at the Geneva Graduate Institute, and a Non-resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. They have previously held significant positions such as Director of the Research Department at the International Labour Organization and Managing Director of the World Economic Forum. An internationally recognized expert, Richard focuses on enhancing economic growth through social inclusion and environmental sustainability, authoring numerous publications on these topics. They have also served in various advisory roles, including as Economic Policy Advisor to U.S. Senate Democratic Leader Thomas A. Daschle and as Chairman of the Climate Disclosure Standards Board. Richard holds a degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
