Anna Savchenko is a seasoned journalist with experience in higher education reporting, editing, and multimedia production. Currently serving as a Higher Education Reporter for Chicago Public Media since August 2021, Anna specializes in finding news stories with unique perspectives and collaborating with various newsroom departments. Prior roles include Editor-in-Chief at ZU Magazine, where Anna managed publication layout and content, as well as Lifestyle Editor at ZU News, where Anna expanded multimedia coverage. Additional experience includes a Production Intern position at Capital TV and Assistant News Editor at The Spectrum Newspaper at the University at Buffalo. Anna holds a Master of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Azusa Pacific University, along with a Bachelor's degree in English and a Journalism Certificate from the University at Buffalo.
