ABC57 in South Bend, Indiana, launched its newscasts in April 2011 with 12 hours a week of local news. Since then, ABC57 has expanded its newscasts to include 44.5 hours of live local news a week as well as special coverage of local and national events. In 2015, ABC57 provided coverage of Pope Francis' first visit to the United States as well as two half hour documentary specials - Restore the Roar: Chasing a Championship and Locked Up and Learning.

In 2016, ABC57 expanded its news coverage to include coverage of Notre Dame football and basketball games. ABC57 Kickoff airs every Saturday at 10 a.m. before each home game. 

ABC57 has a special partnership with the South Bend Cubs and airs its newscast live each year on Opening Day. We are also honored to carry 35 of the South Bend Cubs games live on sister station WMYS, MyMichiana 69.

Over the years, ABC57 has received several Emmy Awards from the Chicago Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, two regional Edward R. Murrow awards and a National Murrow from the Radio Television Digital News Association.

ABC programming includes syndication hits such as Judge Judy, Live with Kelly and Mark, and Family Feud.
