Michael Scotto

Michael Scotto is a seasoned media professional currently serving as the Managing Producer for "Here & Now" at WBUR and NPR. They have an extensive background in journalism, having worked as a political reporter at NY1 News from 2001 to 2010 and later as a General Assignment Reporter and Capitol Hill Reporter at Spectrum News until 2020. Michael held the role of Executive Producer for Digital at NY1, where they led a team in overseeing digital content and played a key role in launching the NY1/Spectrum News app. Their contributions to journalism have earned them three Emmy awards, among other prestigious recognitions. Michael also briefly worked as the Director of Education and Outreach for the Partnership for New York City and as a Segment Producer at NBCUniversal.
