WCNY was originally founded in 1965 as The Educational television Council of Central. Today, WCNY is Central New York’s public broadcasting company, providing great local and national programming, high-quality educational television, classical music and support for the arts across 19 counties. WCNY’s new 56,000-square-foot Broadcast and Education Center allows WCNY to produce and deliver quality educational programming not just in Syracuse, but across New York State and beyond. 

WCNY Productions, is WCNY’s award-winning, full-service video production company. This experienced team produces commercials, corporate overviews, historical documentaries and broadcast network segments.
