WDI has been creating quality wood product for over 80 years. Started in a barn in Lake Elmo Minnesota, we have gone through many ups and downs. When the economy changes, we need to change. When consumer preferences moved to another medium, we needed to be more proactive in showcasing the advantages or our favorite medium, wood! Since 2001 we have been in a dedicated facility in Forest Lake, Minnesota with the capability and capacity to supply most any demand. This has allowed us to expand our business as we have grown and added additional capabilities. We offer two distinct product lines, an all wood line and our newly developed MinnMade product line. MinnMade is a product we created which combines wood and premium paper or other carriers (wood veneers) to create a product which has many of the advantages of wood (durable, ecologically compatible, engravable, strong) without the need for hardware.

One thing we’ve always kept consistent is our dedication to quality service and products. We have been making wood products for a long time and we’re proud to be able to label our products as Made in the USA. We produce a range of products, from the simple to the exquisitely complex! A ring box with a no decoration to a complete product kit with laser etching, color fill and a hidden compartment!

Design

Do you need assistance with design? WDI provides product design services. It doesn’t matter to us if you have a sketch on a napkin or CAD drawings and electronic files, we can work with all manner of input and technical abilities. With our years of experience, we may have solutions to issues you may not have envisioned or we can utilize our years of experience to suggest some simple process or design upgrades to enhance the presentation or functionality of your package.
