Lorenz Beckhardt has extensive experience in journalism and education, serving as a Pressesprecher at Kölsche Kippa Köpp from September 2023 to December 2024, and as an Ausbilder Politische Bildung at the Bundeswehr from May 2024 to December 2024. Beckhardt worked as a Redakteur in the Radio & TV science department at WDR from November 1993 to December 2024. Additionally, in November 2024, Beckhardt became the Vorstandsvorsitzender of the Verband Jüdischer Journalistinnen und Journalisten and has been involved with the organization since then. Beckhardt holds a Diplom in Chemistry from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, obtained between 1982 and 1990.
