We Are Local Heroes: Celebrating People, Place, Purpose, and Community

At We Are Local Heroes, we believe in storytelling’s power to connect, inspire, and shape the world around us. Through film, podcasts, documentaries, events, and products, we highlight the people, places, and stories that define our communities.

Our journey began during the Covid-19 pandemic under Food and Drink North East (FADNE) with the Local Heroes initiative—an online store connecting regional producers with consumers. As the idea grew, founders Dan, Chris, and Rosie launched We Are Local Heroes as an independent platform focused on creativity, community, and storytelling.
