River Coello

River Coello is a Guayaquil-born cultural weaver currently based in Orlando. As a healing artist-scholar, they integrate research, facilitation, writing, and performance in their decolonial practice. River has served as a Parry/Billman Arts Fellow and Course Instructor at Ohio University and is currently a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Speaker and Facilitator with WE CREATE SPACE. In addition to their ongoing role as a Trustees Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Central Florida, River's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees in Public Policy, Social Policy, and Theater and Performance Studies. They are proudly Andean and dedicated to promoting holistic wellness and collective empathy through their artistic work.
