Eric Woodyard

Eric Woodyard has a comprehensive work experience that spans various roles and industries. Eric is currently working at WDI Inc. as the Director of Strategy & Innovation and Principal Consultant. Before that, they were a Senior Consultant at the same company, specializing in Utility Infrastructure and Vegetation Management. Prior to WDI Inc., Eric worked as the Principal and Founder of Innoventum Consulting, LLC.

Eric's previous experience includes working at Pacific Gas and Electric Company as an Expert Technology and Innovation Program Manager. In this role, they led the development and implementation of PG&E's Vegetation Management Remote Sensing Program and also developed geospatial analytics for vegetation management and wildfire risk mitigation. Eric also served as the VP of Business Development and Innovation at Quantum Spatial.

Eric has a long history with Pacific Gas and Electric Company, where they held several positions including Program Manager, Expert - Technology, Innovation & Continuous Improvement, Senior Program Manager-Public Safety and Reliability, Vegetation Program Manager, and Quality Assurance Specialist. In these roles, they played a key role in supporting PG&E's vegetation management program, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining public safety and reliability on electric distribution and transmission systems.

Before their time at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Eric was the President and Co-Founder of Green Leaf Imports. Eric also worked as a Project Manager and Field Supervisor at Western Environmental Consultants, Inc. and served as an Agroforestry Technician Volunteer for the U.S. PEACE CORPS.

Eric Woodyard obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biological Sciences from Pacific Lutheran University, which they attended from 1995 to 1999. Eric later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on General Management and Finance from the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management. Eric completed their MBA program from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, Eric Woodyard has obtained several certifications including Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in November 2017, Utility Specialist from the International Society of Arboriculture in June 2005, and Certified Arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture in June 2004.
