Derek Slaney

Derek Slaney is an experienced software developer with a strong background in mobile and desktop applications, currently serving as a Senior Developer at nfoldROI Group of Companies since August 2013, focusing on research and development in the GIS domain. Prior to this, Derek worked at Topical Software from January 1996 to August 2013, where responsibilities included requirements analysis, app design, and iOS app programming, along with project management and full software development life cycle for desktop applications using C++. Earlier career experience includes a tenure at the Civil Aviation Authority from February 1982 to June 1992 as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer, specializing in the design of reliable electrical systems for the Airways System. Derek holds a Graduate Diploma in Computing from Melbourne University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
