Christy Atkinson

Christy Atkinson, Ed.D., NBCT, ALC, CWDP, is an experienced professional with a background in education, administration, and workforce development. Christy has held various leadership positions in schools and organizations, including serving as a Director of Special Education for Birmingham City Schools and as Principal at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind. With a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Samford University, Christy has also obtained additional certifications and degrees in counseling and special education. Currently, Christy is serving as the Executive Director at Workshops Empowerment Inc.
