Derek Molitor

Derek Molitor has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Their most recent position was as the Director of Operational Excellence at Weaber, where they have been employed since 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Plant Manager at Weaber from 2018 to 2022.

Before joining Weaber, Derek worked at Metrie starting in 2006. Derek held various roles at Metrie, including Production Supervisor, Master Scheduler, Production Manager, Interim, SAP Planning Analyst, Production Supervisor, and Production Coordinator. During their time at Metrie, Derek achieved significant accomplishments such as improving production output and overall equipment effectiveness, reducing inventory conducting time, driving a reduction in recordable incident rate, implementing safety orientations and onboarding tools, utilizing lean tools to reduce production costs, and improving machine uptime through preventative maintenance software.

Prior to their tenure at Metrie, Derek was the Managing Owner of D.M. Lawn and Landscaping Service from 1999 to 2006.

Derek Molitor has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Case Western Reserve University, which they obtained in 2005. In 2010, they attended a Lean Management Workshop at the Virginia Tech Department of Wood Science and Forest Products. In 2011, Derek received a LEAN Greenbelt Certification from Lean Sensei International. Additionally, they obtained OSHA Compliance certification from Fred Pryor Seminars and CareerTrack in March 2013.
