Alex Michalka

Alex Michalka is a seasoned professional in the research and investment sector, currently serving as Vice President of Research at Wealthfront since June 2019, following roles as Senior Director of Research and Director of Investments within the same company. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President and Research Associate at AQR Capital Management from September 2013 to May 2019, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia University from September 2009 to August 2013. Alex also held a position as Software Scientist/Mathematical Modeler at SEMplest LLC in 2012, and worked in Quantitative Research at The Climate Corporation from August 2006 to June 2009. Academic qualifications include a MS/PhD in Operations Research from Columbia University and a BA in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.
