Michael Jorge Perez

Michael Jorge Perez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2007, they worked as a student intern at Enderun Colleges, where they gained experience in marketing, food and beverage, and front office operations. In 2008, they served as an Administrative Assistant Intern at IHG Hotels & Resorts, assisting with marketing, front desk duties, events, and networking. Michael Jorge then joined Joie de Vivre Hospitality as a Front Desk Agent and Cultural Ambassador, handling various responsibilities such as reservations, guest services, and social media management.

In 2012, Michael joined the Omni San Francisco Hotel as a Guest Service Representative and Night Auditor, where they performed front desk duties and handled night audit functions. Michael Jorge later transitioned to InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG™), starting as a Front Office Supervisor and moving up to Assistant Front Office Manager, Sales Manager, and eventually Senior Sales Manager. Michael Jorge'sresponsibilities included managing sales, ensuring guest satisfaction, and overseeing front office operations.

In 2021, Michael ventured into the software engineering field. Michael Jorge worked at Software Engineering Applications, serving in various roles including Full Stack Engineer for an eCommerce-related items and outfits section, Back End Software Engineer for an eCommerce Product API, Front End Software Engineer for a personal portfolio and a social media application, and Full Stack Software Engineer for an application called LazyChef. In these roles, they utilized technologies such as React, Next.js, MongoDB, Docker, and various API integrations to develop and optimize user interfaces and backend systems.

Currently, Michael is employed as a Software Engineer at Wealthfront, where they have progressed from a Software Engineer to a Software Engineer II.

Michael Jorge Perez completed a Full Stack Software Engineering Immersive program at Hack Reactor in 2021. Prior to that, they attended Enderun Colleges from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management.
