Nicole Kim is a Data Scientist at Wealthsimple since May 2023, currently contributing to the Marketing Data Science team. Previously, Nicole held the position of Data Science Co-op at Wealthsimple from May to December 2022. Prior experience includes being a Program Data Research Assistant at the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario from September 2020 to August 2021, and a Data Catalyst Intern at MaRS Discovery District from May to August 2019. Earlier in the career, Nicole worked as a Data Science Research Assistant at Ryerson University in the summer of 2017, where key contributions included developing a SQL database using PostgreSQL and implementing a tf:idf algorithm for text data analysis. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Math in Computational Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
