Tim Coleman

Tim Coleman, PhD, is an experienced meteorologist currently serving as the Director of Forensic Meteorology at WeatherBELL Analytics, LLC, where expert consulting and testimony services have been provided on over 700 cases across 20 states since August 2022. Concurrently, Tim holds the position of Research Meteorologist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, focusing on atmospheric processes and training National Weather Service meteorologists, along with teaching graduate courses. Previously, Tim worked as a Consulting Meteorologist at Coleman Knupp and Dice LLC and gained on-air experience as Chief Meteorologist at CBS 42. Earlier roles included meteorological work with NOAA, where significant contributions to weather broadcasting and forecasting were made. Tim holds a PhD and MS in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a BS in Physics and Mathematics from Samford University.
