Alex Nicol has worked in the software engineering industry since 2000. Alex began their career as a Software Engineer at Nemetschek North America, where they worked until 2006. Alex then moved on to Earth Networks as an Associate Software Manager. In 2012, they joined Vectorworks as a Senior Software Engineer (Cloud/Mobile) and later became Mobile Team Manager, developing mobile solutions for the Architecture, Engineering and Construction markets. In 2019, they joined WeatherBug as a Senior Manager of Product Engineering and Principal Software Engineer.
Alex Nicol attended Frostburg State University from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
