Brandon Rice

Brandon Rice has a strong background in product management and leadership roles in the biotechnology industry. Brandon has recently served as the Chief Product Officer at Weave since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Product Management at Resilience from 2020 to 2023. Brandon also has experience at Synthego Corporation, where they held positions as the Director of Product, Functional Genomics from 2020 to 2020, and as the Director, Software Products from 2019 to 2020. Before that, they worked at Freenome as a Senior Product Manager from 2018 to 2019 and as an Associate Director, Scientific Alliance Management from 2018 to 2018. Brandon also had leadership roles at Dovetail Genomics, LLC, including Head of Product Development and Strategy from 2017 to 2017, COO from 2015 to 2017, and CEO from 2013 to 2015. Brandon began their career as a Graduate Student at UC Santa Cruz, conducting research on genomic variation from 2011 to 2013, and as a Software Engineer at NCGR from 2009 to 2011.

Brandon Rice has a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, which was obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at The University of New Mexico from 2006 to 2009. Before their undergraduate studies, they attended New Mexico Tech from 2004 to 2006, during which time they pursued Biology but did not earn a degree.
