Joaquin Obieta

Joaquin Obieta has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles.

Starting in 2004 at Penn State University, Joaquin worked as a Graduate Assistant and later as a Research Assistant, where they specialized in testing and support services for faculty, staff, and students.

In 2006, Joaquin joined Blackboard as a QA Automation Engineer, responsible for automated testing and developing frameworks for SilkTest scripts. Joaquin then transitioned to the role of Senior Consultant, delivering technical training, managing client relationships, and developing integrations. Finally, they became a Technical Lead, centralizing support and upgrade efforts for partner solutions.

In 2016, Joaquin moved to the District of Columbia Department of Human Services as a Supervisory IT Project Manager, overseeing a team and supporting critical applications.

From 2017 to 2020, Joaquin worked at Opower as a Service Delivery Manager, where they managed utility portfolios and maximized energy efficiency and marketing goals using Oracle Opower's software platform.

In 2020, Joaquin joined Coursedog, initially as a Data Engineer (Technical Implementation Consultant) designing and implementing REST-API based integrations. Joaquin then became a Lead Data Engineer, taking on additional responsibilities such as mentoring, training, and recruiting. Joaquin was later promoted to Manager, Integrations & Technical Implementation Team, where they managed a team of 10 integration implementation resources. Finally, they transitioned to the role of Manager, Colleague & Jenzabar Integrations Team, overseeing a new unit that specialized in specific Student Information Systems.

Currently, Joaquin is working at WeaveGrid as a Senior Client Program Manager, where they are responsible for managing client programs.

Joaquin Obieta completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Penn State University between 2001 and 2006. Joaquin further pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Sciences and Technology from the same university from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Joaquin has obtained certifications as a Sun Certified Java Associate and a Sun Certified Java Programmer from Oracle, although the specific months and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
