Greg Poynton

Greg Poynton, CISA, CTPRP, is an experienced IT professional currently serving as Manager of IT Advisory Services at Weaver since March 2021, with additional roles on the Leadership Team and as a Senior Associate III. Prior to Weaver, Greg worked at A-LIGN as a Senior SOC Consultant and has extensive auditing experience from positions at Schneider Downs, where roles included Senior II IT Auditor, Senior I IT Auditor, and Staff IT Auditor. Earlier career experience includes IT consulting at S.R. Snodgrass, IT help desk support at Aesynt, and project management at BNY Mellon. Greg's professional journey began with a focus on web development as a MIS Assistant at the Small Business Development Center and includes valet service roles at Overbrook Golf Club and Extravagant Valet. Greg holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Duquesne University.
