Patrick Abela is a seasoned product architect and leader with extensive experience in the financial technology sector. Currently serving as Product Architect at Weavr.io since January 2022, Patrick specializes in facilitating the integration of financial services through innovative plug-and-play solutions. Prior to this, Patrick held the position of Chief Product Officer at JR TECHNOLOGIES, where involvement in the airline industry's digital transformation was key. As Product Director at Ixaris Systems Ltd from 2004 to 2016, Patrick significantly contributed to the success of various fintech products, including the launch of EntroPay. Earlier in Patrick's career, roles included Chief Technical Architect and Managing Director at Ixaris Systems Ltd (Malta), along with a tenure as Assistant Lecturer at the University of Malta, where Patrick introduced foundational courses in Object-Oriented programming. Patrick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Malta.
