Aeron Buchanan

Aeron Buchanan has a diverse work experience in various industries. Aeron started their career in 2009 as a Production Manager at AlnStar Productions. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Mathematics Tutor at FocusMaths, Oxford International College, and Oxford Science Studies. In 2011, they served as a Director at Lancaster Logic Response Ltd. Aeron then worked as a Computer Vision Consultant at Microsoft Research Cambridge from January 2011 to October 2011. From September 2013 to March 2014, they were a Lead Programmer at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Aeron co-founded Parity Technologies in November 2015 and worked there as a Co-Founder until April 2017. Aeron joined Ethereum as a Researcher and Regulatory Compliance Expert in February 2014 and later became the Head of European Finance and Operations from October 2014 to March 2015. From 2016 onwards, Aeron co-founded Grid Singularity and served as a Co-Founder. Aeron also worked as an Advisor at Mattereum from July 2017 to August 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President at Web 3 Foundation since June 2017, and previously, they held the role of Executive Vice President from September 2018 to November 2018.

Aeron Buchanan completed their undergraduate education at St Anne's College, Oxford University, from 1998 to 2002. Aeron earned a degree in Engineering and Computing Science, with a specialization in MEng. Following this, from 2003 to 2007, they pursued a DPhil degree at the University of Oxford, focusing on the field of Tracking Non-Rigid Objects in Video. In 2006 to 2007, they also attended Imperial College London, where they studied Advanced Methods in Taxonomy and Biodiversity.
