Gemma Houghton has extensive work experience in marketing and events management. Gemma started their career at Fenner Drives in 2005, where they worked as an Internal Sales representative for the UK and Germany until 2007. In 2007, they joined Webcertain as a Marketing and Events Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing online and offline marketing activities, trade shows, advertising, email campaigns, content creation, search, and social media. Gemma also led the International Search Summit conference events, including program development, speaker recruitment, logistics, and promotion. Additionally, they conducted interviews with industry professionals and managed the production and editing of content for Webcertain TV. In 2015, Gemma became the Producer of Webcertain.tv, where they managed all aspects of channel production, including logistics, content, promotion, and website development. Finally, they were promoted to Director of Marketing in January 2018, where they oversaw marketing strategies, event management, copywriting, SEO, PPC, social media activities, and the Webcertain TV YouTube channel. Gemma also led a team of five in marketing, video production, and web design and development.

Gemma Houghton completed their education at various institutions. From 2017 to 2019, they attended the Chartered Management Institute, where they obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. Between 2008 and 2010, Gemma studied at the CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing, earning a Professional Diploma in Marketing with a focus on the field of study in Marketing. Gemma Houghton's earliest education took place between 2000 and 2004 at the University of Leeds, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in French and German.
