Alison Pierce van Dis

Alison Pierce Van Dis has a diverse work experience in the field of video production and content creation. Alison is currently working as a Video Producer in the Brand Design & Creative team at Webflow since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Video Producer at Advanced Systems Group, LLC from April 2022 to July 2023. Alison also held the role of Video Producer at Google Developers Studio within the same company, where they managed and directed production shoots and worked on various video projects for Google clients.

Before joining Advanced Systems Group, LLC, Alison founded OAR Productions in December 2016, specializing in short-form video production and branded content. Alison had a range of experiences in network television, documentary filmmaking, digital content production, and social media management.

Alison also worked as a Creative Content & Video Producer at HelloMD, a medical cannabis-oriented start-up, from October 2018 to November 2019. During their time there, they managed a team and negotiated a large livestreaming deal with Vimeo for educational shows related to cannabis.

Earlier in their career, Alison worked as a Show Runner/Video Producer at 18Birdies from January 2017 to July 2018. Alison also gained experience as a Features Producer at Golf Channel from January 2004 to July 2017, where they produced, directed, wrote, and edited feature segments for live golf tournament telecasts.

In addition, Alison was a Producer at Mode Media Corporation (formerly Glam Media) from December 2015 to September 2016, where they pitched, directed, and produced lifestyle content for various topics. Alison also worked as a Reporter and Editorial Consultant for the Academy of Art University Publications Department from October 2013 to September 2016, reporting on and editing articles about the renowned art university.

Alison's earlier experiences include working as a Writer for Travel Channel International, where they wrote scripts for episodes of a show about beaches and boardwalks, and freelancing as a writer and editor for various magazines such as The San Francisco Weekly, SKI magazine, and Afar magazine.

Throughout their career, Alison has demonstrated their skills in video production, project management, team management, negotiation, and content creation across different mediums.

Alison Pierce Van Dis completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and Film from Colorado College, attending from 1995 to 1999. Later, in the year 2002 to 2003, they pursued further education at Stanford University, earning a Master's degree (MA) in Journalism and Communications. Finally, from 2010 to 2014, Van Dis attended the Travel Writer's Conference, although no specific degree or field of study is provided.
