Dan Dean

Dan Dean has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Dan is currently employed at Webflow as a Staff Software Engineer since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Splice from 2019 to 2022, holding the positions of Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. At Splice, Dan played a pivotal role in designing and developing the foundational tools used by the company's product teams. Dan led the implementation of a cross-platform design system, introduced GraphQL, and migrated from Jenkins to GitHub Actions for build and release automation.

Before Splice, Dan worked at Simple Finance from 2012 to 2019. Dan served as a Staff Engineer, Lead Engineer for the Software Delivery Lifecycle Team, Senior Front-end Engineer, and Front-end Engineer during their tenure. Additionally, they worked as a Web Application Developer at WordFly in 2011, a Software Engineer at Evri from February to August 2011, and as a Senior Front-end Engineer at POP from 2005 to 2011.

Dan's professional journey started at The Rocket, where they worked as an Assistant Art Director from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Fantagraphics Books from 1996 to 1999.

Dan Dean obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography from the University of Washington, which they attended from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, they pursued an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Political Science at North Seattle College, although the specific duration of their academic tenure at this institution is unknown.
