Dorian Scheidt

Dorian Scheidt has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. They began their career as a Production Volunteer at CJLO in 2011. In 2012, they served as an Interim Production Coordinator at CKUT Radio, where they produced and edited various audio content and conducted training sessions for volunteers.

In 2013, Dorian worked as a Web Developer at Dorian Listens, focusing on designing and constructing responsive websites and interactive applications using various tools and technologies. Concurrently, they also served as a Recording Engineer.

In 2014, they joined Infoactive as a Developer, primarily working as a Front-End Developer. In this role, they built a single-page web app for creating interactive data visualizations and infographics. Infoactive was later acquired by Tableau Software in 2015.

After the acquisition, Dorian continued their journey at Tableau Software, taking on roles such as Software Engineering Technician for Vizable, an app for interactive data visualization. They later became a Software Engineering Technician for Data Driven Alerting on Tableau Server 10.3.

In 2018, Dorian transitioned to the role of Senior Software Engineer at Tableau Software, working on their next generation tools for rapid data analysis. They were involved in various aspects of the development process, spanning backend services, containerized deployments, messaging pipelines, and consumption experiences.

In 2020, Dorian progressed to the position of Lead Member of Technical Staff at Tableau Software, where they worked on the introduction of an Agile Kanban workflow to improve productivity and lead time estimation.

Most recently, in 2022, they joined Webflow as a Senior Software Engineer, expanding their expertise in web development and software engineering.

Dorian Scheidt began their education in 2007 at McGill University, where they studied Music Technology until 2009. Following this, from 2009 to 2011, Dorian attended Concordia University to specialize in Electroacoustics.
