Ryan Carey

Ryan Carey has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the software engineering and web development field. Ryan is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Webflow since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Reddit, Inc. from July 2020 to April 2021. From October 2017 to April 2020, Ryan held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Patreon. Ryan also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Vevo from June 2016 to October 2017. Earlier in their career, Ryan worked as a Front End Engineer at dailymotion from June 2015 to June 2016. Before entering the software engineering field, they gained experience as a Web Developer at Nomad Goods, Inc. from October 2014 to February 2015. Lastly, Ryan held multiple roles at Roden Gray, starting as an Online Manager/Web Developer from May 2010 to September 2014, where they played a key role in implementing a responsive redesign resulting in a significant increase in eCommerce conversion rates. Ryan then transitioned into a Manager/Buyer role from March 2009 to April 2010, where they supervised sales staff, managed inventory, and handled purchasing and vendor relationships.

Ryan Carey attended Hack Reactor in 2015, where they completed an Advanced Software Engineering Immersive Program and focused on Computer Software Engineering. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2008, they pursued a Diploma in Cinematography and Film/Video Production at Vancouver Film School. Before their time at Vancouver Film School, from 2005 to 2007, they studied Film Studies at The University of British Columbia.
