Skylar Kitchen

Skylar Kitchen has a diverse work experience spanning various design and leadership roles. In 2014, they began their career in the National Guard, where they served as a Sergeant E-5 and led a team of four soldiers. During their time in the National Guard, Skylar demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and was a runner-up for the 2018 NC Soldier of the Year award.

In 2015, Skylar worked as a Research Assistant at DELTA, where they focused on researching the applications of virtual reality in design education. Their research findings were successfully integrated into landscape and architecture courses.

From 2016 to 2017, Skylar gained experience as an Architectural Intern at Ballinger. During this time, they assisted in various architectural projects.

In 2018, Skylar worked briefly as a Designer at Kenneth E Hobgood Architects before joining Duda|Paine Architects as a Designer. At Duda|Paine Architects, Skylar was involved in managing renderings for the firm's portfolio book and collaborated with a design team on large-scale projects. They also conducted design meetings and workshops with user groups.

In 2021, Skylar transitioned to a User Experience Designer role at Dwellito, where they focused on enhancing user experiences.

In 2022, Skylar joined Savant Systems as a Product Designer, where they worked until September of the same year. During their time at Savant Systems, Skylar made valuable contributions to the design of various products.

Currently, in 2022, Skylar is employed as a Senior Designer, Community at Webflow.

Skylar Kitchen pursued their education in architecture at North Carolina State University. From 2011 to 2016, they completed a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture. Skylar furthered their studies and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from the same university, which they completed between 2017 and 2018. Additionally, Skylar Kitchen obtained a certification in 1 Mentorship Sessions from adplist.org in October 2022.
