Medical Editor Neha Pathak, MD, DipABLM, is board certified in both internal medicine and lifestyle medicine. She is on the medical team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of health information on WebMD and is co-founder of WebMD’s Sustainability Committee. She oversees the national network of doctors that reviews content across the web site and works with the editorial teams that create it. This includes news, special reports, WebMD Magazine, videos, mobile applications, tools, and health reference material. She also writes news articles for WebMD and Medscape.
Pathak is a media spokesperson for WebMD. She participates in WebMD podcasts and videos, writes for the WebMD Doctors Blog, and has worked on WebMD’s multiple social media platforms including Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Before joining WebMD, Pathak worked as a primary care doctor at the Department of Veterans Affairs and was an assistant professor of medicine at Emory University in Atlanta. She completed the VA Quality Scholar Fellowship Program, where she focused on quality improvement and implementation science training.
Pathak sees patients at the Clarkston Community Health Center. She also works with local communities dealing with health impacts of environmental pollution.
Pathak is board-certified in internal medicine and lifestyle medicine with a focus on diet, exercise, and stress-management strategies to maintain health and well-being. She graduated with a BA in psychology/biology from Harvard University. She received her MD with honors in community service from Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Pathak went on to complete her primary care, internal medicine residency at New York Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her certificate in climate change and health communication from Yale School of Public Health.
